What We Do

Successfully running for office is not a one-year plan... it's often a two-year plan... or a five-year plan... or sometimes longer. We help everyday people who dream of running for office "maybe someday." We put together a plan and the tools that will prepare them and their families for the day when they finally do run for office.

We're not campaign managers ---
we're pre-campaign managers

What We Don't Do

No doorknocking.

No fundraising.

Not yet.

We don't set up campaign accounts or draw logos or design literature or write position papers.

Once our clients have completed their preparation plan and our part is done, then we connect them to people and organizations who assist with the nuts and bolts of running a campaign.

Start paying close attention to the names on your ballots. Reward moderates with your vote, then plan on holding them accountable to standards of compromise and civil negotiation. Remind our public servants that you, not their caucus, are their most important constituency.

Congratulations to the Losers. Seriously.

Our democracy can't survive without people willing to stick their necks out and run for office. You had the courage to do it.

Our founder Shannon Watson penned this opinion piece to advocate for passage of the constitutional amendment on the ballot in Minnesota this year. If the amendment passes, power to set legislative salaries would move from the legislature to an independent citizens council.

Instead of mourning the loss of young, talented legislators, maybe we should be looking at the opportunity that their stepping down brings: the potential for additional young, talented legislators to step in and take a turn crafting our laws.
